Everything was great with the room. The reception coffee machine was broken in the morning and the supplies for laundry service were out (i.e. there was no laundry detergent to purchase) which is why I gave it a 4 star. Also, the parking was on an honour system. I told them I had a car but basically we learned that if you don't tell them, you can still park there and no one would notice or care. Very frustrating.

Thanks for a great stay! Very comfortable bed, great shower, nice quiet, pretty location within a short walk of the city centre. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was great having the option of free access to tea and coffee anytime in the foyer as well as complementary croissants in the morning. The kitchenette area in the room was very useful too. Another BIG plus was being able to store our bags in a locker for no extra charge after checkout. This enabled us to explore the city the following day without having the trouble of booking locker storage elsewhere. We only stayed one night but wished we had booked for longer. I would definitely return to this accommodation if I’m ever visiting York again. Only one slight negative - the advertised price dropped marginally after our confirmed booking. However, we thought this aparthotel was good value for money. If you’re trying to decide - don’t hesitate, just book it. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Hotel was lovely and clean, bed was comfortable, air conditioning was great. Car park was good size, plenty parking. The free coffee 24hrs is a nice touch, aswell as the croissants in the morning and having a fridge and freezer to purchase items for the room

It was good to be able to cook in the property. After a long day working, I don't always fancy trying to find a restaurant. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find out that the parking had to be paid for - This bumped the price of the stay up by £15 per day

Underground parking,(approx £15/day on the RingGo app) big apartment room with comfortable bed, warm shower. Made our own breakfast. Room had view of canal . It was about a 10min walk to the Town centre and tourist areas. A great stay

We arrived in York 2 days after flooding occurred, but the hotel did not attempt to get in touch with us prior to arriving to inform us that we were unable to drive to and park at the hotel. We were given an alternative parking address, with no clear instructions and had to walk with small children, after dark, in the freezing cold, with our bags across the river which took around 25 minutes. We would have made alternative accommodation arrangements had we known of the flooding and the inconvenience we experienced. We were unable to use the gym as it was being used as a laundry store, we could not control the thermostat in the bedroom, the shower screen was broken and the toilet roll holder was broken and hanging off the wall. We expected better service from this chain of hotels, and the lack of communication for guests yet to arrive was unacceptable and poor service in Roomzzz part. We were offered a partial refund on the rate, but we would have preferred to have been informed of the flooding before arriving and having the Ho or to cancel and stay somewhere more accessible for us.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was lovely and immaculately clean. I had a river view and the centre of York was a short walk along the river. The reception staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Was told by person on the desk i couldnt check in before three even though all i wanted to do was pay and park my car. Eventually when explained i was allowed to pay and park my car.Sofa bed had stained sheets and requested staff to change them, was told it was a "new starter " who made mistake. Staff on desk dint apoligise and just stated " ill get someone to sort it"

Very nice and clean room. Shower floor was a bit grubby but overall very clean. Spare bed which is a pull out sofa bed was rather uncomfortable but the main bed was very comfortable. Be aware that there is a rather large caravan park right next door but it did not impact us as it was fairly quiet.

Stayed before and loved it but unlucky with weather so potential flooding closed car park which made it a nightmare to park and cost £60 for 2 nights. Room cold and heating system didn’t work effectively. Quilt cover torn which isn’t a good standard. A bit disappointing.

Lovely, well-equipped apartment with plenty of space for two people. Super clean, really comfy bed. Love the complimentary coffees/crossaint breakfast offering and the on-site shop is relatively priced. Only downside was the air con was abysmal... Both our friends who stayed on the same floor and us had highly ineffective a/c - lowest temp, highest fan speed and it did nothing. Thankful for the balcony so we could sleep with the balcony door open! That being said, we'd come back again - perhaps maybe in the winter months!

Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed the only downside was there was nowhere to sit on the balcony. The hotel offers unlimited free coffee and tea.l would highly recommend this place and am looking forward to returning.

The visit to York was spoilt by a lack of aircon which was broken causing poor sleep on the hottest days of the year. Hotel manager rejected request for a discount due to a lack of aircon.

Nice room. Use of tv a bit over complicated. Hard floors mean that you can hear movement from upstairs and make sure your bottle opener is not broken. But overall we were pleased with the room and enjoyed our stay.

Service and rooms are fantastic. Nevertheless the balcony was taken over by spider webs and actual spiders , so that a person like me, who is massively afraid of spiders could not use the balcony at all. Maybe they clean it during warmer season during the year. Feels kind of diasppointig as I booked the hotel because of the balcony rooms.

Great location, just a few minutes walk to cross the bridge to the centre. Spacious room, big TV, we had a small balcony room which was lovely for a gulp of fresh air and view of the river in the morning. Very clean, well equipped kitchenette. The bed was big, but a bit too hard for our liking.

Great room with a view of the river! The only thing is that there is no soundproofing between floors and the person(s) above me stomped everywhere. I think Frankenstein's monster was above me. That's not the hotel's fault. Some people just stomp for some reason I will never understand. Just beware that if you sleep lightly, and you gave a person above you that doesn't understand how to use their knees and ankles, you will not sleep unless they are... Again, not the fault of the hotel. The hotel and staff where great. It was clean, modern, comfortable, and easy to get to.

On arriving at the hotel by car we were asked to download an app to pay for parking(£1). Nationwide blocked my card when i tried to do so. We payed the £15for 24hr parking directly to the hotel. Unblocked my card to check my account and the company linked to the parking app took an unauthorised payment of£59.99. A scam, verified by my bank, somewhere in cyprus. Ive since informed the hotel but have heard nothing back.

Unfortunately, despite booking a grande family suite and detailing that I was travelling with my son, we arrived to only one bed being made up. After a long journey, this was far from ideal. I alerted the receptionist who then had to find bedding from another room. I then had to assist the receptionist to drag a sofa bed into position and following her telling me that she had other customers waiting for her, proceeded to make up the bed myself. The bathroom door lock wouldn’t work and the bathroom door handle was broken and hanging off.

Overall a great stay at York Roomzzz. The location is great, only a short walk into town. The room was clean and comfortable, the only issue was the noise from the apartment above, which kept me awake but thankfully not the kids. There was no soap in the bathroom, which we reported and nothing was done.

Such a lovely plave to stay, staff were amazing. The thermostat didnt work in my room so they moved me into a loft suit foc, it was amazing and the lady who checked me in was amazing and so helpful. Will definitely be staying here again!

Fantastic location on the outskirts of the city center. Plenty of gorgeous walks and platforms on the river to enjoy the boats and wildlife. Staff were super attentive to me and my son when needed and left us when not. Will definitely be booking with Roomzzz again in the future!

Great accommodation with everything you could possibly want. Lovely decor, really comfortable bed, good wi-fi and great location. Free hot drinks and croissants each morning were a great idea and welcome bonus. Lockers for early arrival or late leaving, also a brilliant additional bonus. Quick check-in and no check out per se. Bathroom really great with nice strong shower, overhead and hand shower head, all modern and extremely clean.

10 minute walk from the ‘action’ right on the river. This is an apartment with a small kitchen area. Spacious clean room with a massive bed. All good .. No dining facilities in the hotel other than a few snacks but you know that before you book. No complaints from me and I’d stay again ina heartbeat.

Both my partner & I were very impressed with our recent stay at Roomzzz. Only a short walk along the River Ouse & you're in the heart of York. A very friendly welcome & straightforward check-in started our wonderful short break in York. A clean, comfortable room with ensuite, a small kitchen area where it was possible to take our own food & prepare. A takeaway breakfast of croissant, fruit, juices & coffee was available between 6:30 & 10:30 daily in the Reception area. The weather was so nice that one could sit outside in the terraced cafe area overlooking the river. Following a comfortable night's sleep & a wonderful shower we explored York. The car was safely parked, for an extra £15 a night. We will most definitely return & highly recommend a stay at Roomzzz.

Very large room with good kitchen. Note - no oven, just microwave/convection, and the extractor fan doesn’t actually take the smoke out, it just circulates it, we set off a smoke alarm. Walking distance from local shops and city centre, underground parking. Free coffee machine (a good one) and free croissants in the morning in lieu of dining room
