They have completely updated everything. The lobby is so inviting. The outdoor space with fire pits and Adirondack chairs was such a surprise. The entire vibe is very relaxing and peaceful.

The property was in a valley area centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock. The balcony was private and the property is quiet besides some light music from the restaurant. The door is very heavy and cannot be propped open although the mountain air is delightful! There is no elevator which could pose a problem if you have alot of luggage. There is no microwave in the units but one in the lounge.

Awesome renovated place! The lobby is awesome, the restaurant was amazing as well as the drinks and the courtyard area. The rooms were clean, parking on the back side of the building was a little tight and awkward, but manageable. Overall we would definitely return! We had a great time! Staff was wonderful!

The staff at this hotel, made it absolutely amazing stay! The front outdoor patio was a very friendly place to meet other travelers and hang out and have coffee with my dog! The bathrooms were very clean, we had a great view of the mountains and it was a great location

This was a great renovated motel. Front desk staff was very friendly. There is a bar and restaurant, you can order from your phone and pick it up. The room was spacious with nice bedding a decent tv. The balcony has somewhat of a view, but the patio/fire pit area is in the foreground, sort of awkward if you don’t want anyone looking back at you when you’re out there. Everything was nicely renovated and decorated with a few exceptions: no microwave in the room. Random dog hair everywhere, not a lot, But enough to know dogs were allowed. And the shower/bathtub is still the original, it’s been painted and new fixtures, but you have to climb into it and it’s quite small. Aside from those few things, everything was great. I enjoyed being able to park right outside the door, and all of the food options near by.

Overall, it’s a nice place. But a few small things wrong in my room. The clock wasn’t adjusted to the current time. The refrigerator didn’t work. And there were sticky drink marks on the bedside table. The rest of the place was clean, except for that. A little noisy being right on a main street, but they can’t help that.

Stayed two nights but in two different rooms in the first room was great and the second room was absolutely filthy. Some of the staff are very nice and some of them really seem to either hate their job or just hate life in general.

Rhode’s Motor Lodge was very clean. The grounds were very well kept. The room was setup very nicely, I loved having a balcony. Everyone who worked there was very kind. We will definitely be returning!

The room was sufficient and very conveniently located. The in site restaurant was really good-get the okra. There were no mirrors in the room other than the bathe mirror making it inconvenient to get ready while someone else showered. The shower curtain smelled overwhelmingly of mildew. Otherwise clean room in a great location.

Bed was not super comfortable. Inner spring mattress…? Bed felt somewhat hard and uncomfortable- but linens were clean and comfy and bed wasn’t impossible to sleep in- just wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve slept in- not a deal breaker and I’d stay again. I think it is an area that could be improved.

Clean room, Nice view out the front. Staff was really nice in all our dealings. However the room smelled musty when we first entered and the rugs are rolling up at the edges making a tripping hazard. A little coffee machine would have been nice (they did have it in the main lobby).

Room had an odd smell. Very weird and very low bean bag chair. Not sure why but not for adult use. A small table and 2 chairs would have been nice. AND a coffeemaker!!

Overall, my stay was pretty good—the beds were comfortable and the TV was nice. However, for $220 a night, I expected a bit more. The hotel has been renovated from an older motel, but the upgrades felt minimal. The bathroom could have used more attention, and the concrete floors made the room feel cold and not very cozy. I also prefer hotels where the room doors are inside a secured hallway—it would be great if they could eventually enclose the building so the doors aren’t exposed to the outside and accessible to everyone. Lastly, the concrete stairs leading to the second level could really use an upgrade. With a few improvements, the experience could match the price point better.

The balcony was a nice added bonus. Affordable price. Only downfall was no decaf coffee offered in the lobby, no mini coffee maker in the rooms and also no dresser drawers. I would stay again but possibly bring my own Keurig. 😂

The room was great! Arrived around 8pm, the receptionist was unfriendly. The next morning I accidentally locked myself out of my room when I went to get something from my car. I went to get assistance and, again, the receptionist was unfriendly. Otherwise a great stay! Quiet, clean, modern, and pleasant.

Started with the front desk staff. We were 9 minutes before check in time and we were told to “walk around” until the official check in time. When we returned to check in it was a shift change and two staff members took and additional 5 minutes to greet other ignoring us. The next member of staff was so hard to hear or understand. We paid a $50 pet fee and even though our dog was in a crate the cleaning service refused to clean our room. We then were charged a missing items fee because the items we stopped off the bed ourselves was

We had some issues at check-in, but management reached out to apologize and make things right for us. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a tall shower head with good water pressure. We had a Mountain View from our room. The lounge area has plenty of seating to enjoy morning coffee. Overall despite a rough start, they earned back a top rating.

Scott Wiggins, General Manager did an amazing job! They do not have a laundry, but he washed my clothes anyway and brought them to me. He helped us find a great restaurant and was extremely customer focused. You must stay hete if you have the opportunity. The rooms are modern, brand new. Bathrooms spotless. All staff were friendly and kind. Would stay again.

We paid months in advance; yet, when we checked in, the Hotel Mgr said YOU put a hold on our account equal to a week’s stay!, We checked out next day and (2days) later, the hold was still there!!! It took a WEEK to get it off!

The property was in a valley area centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock. The balcony was private and the property is quiet besides some light music from the restaurant. The door is very heavy and cannot be propped open although the mountain air is delightful! There is no elevator which could pose a problem if you have alot of luggage. There is no microwave in the units but one in the lounge.

Many aspects of the motor lodge were good. It is situated on a very busy highway, which made for a lot of noise. The promise of a Mountain View was a little disappointing because the view was obstructed by a car dealership and other commercial buildings when we sat on our outside deck. The bathroom was clean and efficient, the bed was comfortable. The lobby was very nice. If you think you’re getting a motel on a wooded country road, you’re not. The stay was good for venturing out to see many cool things the area had to offer.

Awesome location. Perfect for an App State game or visiting Blowing Rock. Lobby offered a great place to hang with our group. Staff was friendly and helpful.

One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return.

Fun place! Feels like an old timey drive-up-and-park-by-your-door motel, but everything is clean and new. Comfortable room, decent water pressure in shower. Good location on Blowing Rock Road, near campus and downtown. My brunch at the Canteen restaurant was just okay, nothing special. Would stay here again!

This is such a quirky unique property with cool details around every corner. The onsite bar and restaurant are things you don't find much any more. There are indoor and outdoor fire areas with pretty gas fires. As soon as the weather improves i'll be back to hang out in the outdoor courtyard as well. Glad I found this place.

Overall property is awesome- just two things- the glass in the shower is a bit short which water gets everywhere- and the restaurant on property has a 92 health score which is low for us- other than that I would stay and recommend this property.

The pop up restaurant Over Yonder was fantastic. Great food and creative cocktails. The rooms are good size, clean, modern only issue was the TV. Remote didn’t work even after going to front desk for new batteries and no way to change channels or volume. Nice fire pits outside, plenty of places to hangout and relax.

We had an excellent stay! Our room was clean, comfortable, and updated. We had mountain views while still being convenient to restaurants, shops, and the downtown area. The onsite restaurant was delicious! We enjoyed ourselves, will recommend it to others, and would definitely stay there again!
