Holiday Inn - Boone - University Area by IHG

Breakfast was not complimentary.

Room was adequate. You could see that the property wasn't well maintained. The air handler rattled very loud until we finally turned it off at 3am. Then the room got too cold so it was hard to get back to sleep. Told the front desk but they acted like they didn't care. Will not stay there again.

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay here. The only issue we had was the sink faucet wouldn't ever give us hot water. We had to use the tub faucet to get hot water. We were in a room facing the street which was noisy until late at night when traffic finally died down.

Parking was near and plentiful

You’re kidding me right? I drove 17 hours to get there in 20 minutes before pulling into the parking lot. The property called me and told me my reservation was canceled because they were overbooked. Their clerk told me what they do is cancel third-party reservations, i.e. Hotels.com, Expedia, etc., and accommodate people that walk in and are looking for a room because they will pay more money. They told me it’s not their problem and treated me like complete crap. They wouldn’t allow me to talk to a manager. Never again will I use all Holiday Inn and I’ve been IHG member for over 30 years
