I've stayed at motels to hotels to resort hotels. The condition, cleanliness and decor of the room and property was as good as any resort I've stayed at. The only difference would be amenities available here vs resort but at a fraction of the price. If you are looking for a destination hotel pay quadruple for a resort. If looking for the same quality but don't need the resort, this is a great buy. Free buffet breakfast too and for EV owners like us it has four well marked chargers.

We chose this room because of hot tub. The hot tub and the pool were closed for maintenance for the entire month. It didn't show on the website and we didn't receive a email, text or call indicating the hot tub and pool werr closed. We were not happy campers.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Both treadmills were closed in the exercise room, so there was no way to walk or run, the Internet was in and out on a regular basis, even though it said it was fast, there were times it was not even available. Finally, the hot tub was about 75° so it was more of a pool and a hot tub. Pretty unfortunate experience.

The wraparound outdoor porch area is what made this hotel a step above the others. We were there for a family event and it was a great place to congregate. It would be fantastic if the hotel would add some overhead fans for the hot months, however. The no smoking areas need to be clearly defined because some smokers just don't care.

The exterior design was nice. The whole property smelled like wet dog, mold, and mildew everywhere, the elevator smelled like garbage. Sheets were dirty and the bath-tub was rocking like it wasn't fastened down anymore.

We enjoyed our stay. Only thing is the carpet was filthy. I understand due to it being a pet friendly room that perhaps it happens . Due to allergies and things. Awful. Room was clean otherwise and beautifully decorated. Remove all carpets for pet rooms.☺️we really enjoyed our stay. Will def. Go back also staff from booking .com was do graceous in giving us a refund when we had to leave a day early.

I took a chance with this hotel based on some good reviews; however, I found the negative reviews were actually the correct one. The room was extremely dirty. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed and even the toilet was disgusting. Also, it does smell. Completely disappointed.

The staff are all helpful and friendly no matter the time of day. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was terrific. It was spotless, but minor wear was evident. The shower was fantastic. It was quiet and peaceful and a great home away from home. The porches are lovely for catching a little morning sun, and my view was great. Coffee and tea are always available. Breakfast had lots of options.

The hotelbwas overall nice, i have stayed there in the past. However this last time while staying on the 3rd floor every time ibwent into the bathroom, i had to kill 2-3 baby roaches. Staff did what they could do in the evening, however it didn't stop the infestation. Probably not going back anytime soon.

Our room eas quite humid even with air conditioner running. Also the shower floor squeaked when you stood in it. Desk clerk told me most all of the rooms did that because the hotel was 40 yrs old...time for renovationd!

Great location for visit to App State campus. Clean facilities, friendly/helpful staff, good breakfast and a good stay. The only negative is the walls are very thin so you can hear all the noise from rooms next to you and above you.

Great location but lots of ambient noise. Near a road and easy to hear noises in the hall and lobby. That said, room is lovely, comfy bed, microwave. Mini fridge and coffee maker in room, wifi, coffee, water, and lemonade available in the lobby. Comp breakfast included. Great value.

Good location. Room was generally clean, but had a smell when we walked in, probably the carpet. Bathroom had several issues. Faucet dripped continuously, toilet seat was loose, and shower head was leaking. We tried to adjust shower head, and it fell off. Staff did fix the other issues while we were at dinner, but see pictures for condition of bathroom. Bedding,’pillows and mattress were uncomfortable. Free breakfast was very basic. Price for Friday- Saturday was 2 1/2 times more than during the week. Very expensive for the condition.

Arrived at midnight and had to wait nearly 30 minutes for someone to arrive at the desk, even after trying the phone lines several times. There were several people in line and crying kids in the car. Since I had booked through Expedia my rate was not refundable, but we considered leaving and going to the hotel next door instead of continuing to wait. Thankfully around 12:30 a staff member appeared. Our room was quiet and decent, relatively clean. The bathroom was in moderate condition and the toilet water continued to run through the night, and the door did not lock. The actual bedroom itself was clean with no issues. The free breakfast was good with lots of options, including boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal (which we didn't find until way after we ate because it's located in a totally different area than the other food), plus two waffle makers, juice, and several hot food options including sausage, egg/cheese patties, and "french toast." There was coffee in two locations. The staff members ended up being helpful, kind, and patient.

Booked this reservation in November 2024 for my son’s college graduation in May 2025. Rate was 379.00 per night. First night dogs barking all hours of the night, kids running up and down halls. Checked other hotel availability and found Holiday inn 3 miles away for 159.00. Booked it. Checked La Quinta’s availability and the rate was 179.00. Hotel would not charge current rate and held me to 405.00 per night. Will never stay at La Quinta again! Staff was rude, not helpful and very unprofessional!

Staff were friendly and courteous. Excellent breakfast and the hostess was great. Looks like a good place for dog lovers (several were taking their dogs out for walks in the morning). All dogs were well-behaved. A very comfortable place to stay.

The staff at the La Quinta in Boone are amazing! They go so far out of their way to help their guests that it’s unbelievable! Tonya at the front desk is a super hero in disguise and her co-workers all the way from customer service to the cleaning staff simply excel at every aspect of the hospitality industry and their generous free breakfast tastes delicious every single morning we’ve had it!!!

Check in was a breeze. Got there earlier then I thought and well room was already ready. The man at check in was super nice and helpful. The lobby was clean. When I went up to the room, was very clean. Place was quite. Easy access to pretty much everything. I will definitely be staying here again when I come for business.

The property was close to downtown and the university. However it is located at a major intersection and you need to make a right turn into the hotel. Also you can only make a right turn out of the hotel. It can be very difficult during periods of heavy traffic.

The property is in a good location. Not really easy access since you have to cross a busy street. Friendly staff and eager to help. It shares the parking lot with another hotel what makes it crowded and hard to park. If you are bringing a truck or big SUV good luck.

The only drawback was that the location is not the most convenient to enter and exit. Outside of this slight inconvenience, the facilities and our luxury suite were phenomenal! Everything felt very clean and comfortable. Furthermore, the staff were all so pleasant and helpful, even lending a bottle opener. The breakfast spread exceeded expectations and was delightful to top it all off. We will absolutely recommend and come back!

I was really pleased with how clean the rooms and facility was. Staff was helpful and friendly. The facility was well maintained-- room, elevator, free tv, WIFI, landscaping was very nice and well maintained. Parking was easy after fighting Boone traffic. Continental breakfast was really nice. On the second day of my stay I fixed a waffle with butter whipped cream and maple syrup with western omelet, French toast and potato casserole. Skipped lunch after all that. A+ rating in my book. Will rebook on my next visit.

The breakfast was not very good. The sausage was hard, the bagels were frozen and we had to ask for milk for the cereal as well as yogurt, both of which were forgotten by the staff. I watched another man dig through the cabinets to find the bowls and placed them out for everyone else…in my room, my bathroom sink kept clogging up and the coffee maker in my room was broken.
