Great room for a family, the bunk beds were perfect! The condition of the hotel is very nice. We did have a few things that were a little inconvenient like the pool being closed for cleaning for a day and getting a call that our room was unavailable for several hours because they were cleaning the tile right outside. Thankfully we were out anyway, but that could have been frustrating if we were needing to get in during those few hours. Rooms were clean and the staff was very attentive to all of the details around the property. Breakfast was amazing too! Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was fine -Convenient location. Our room had dirt and crumbs on floor around the beds but otherwise adequate. Good water pressure in the shower! The gym (yes, we workout on vacation) definitely wasn’t designed by someone who actually works out. Equipment was okay but it was hot, humid, no remote for the TV and poorly laid out.

The hotel seemed to be newly renovated and had nice touches. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were well laid out. Check-in was really simple and the breakfast area was well done. A young gentleman who worked in the dining area was phenomenal. He was friendly to everyone and kept things well stocked. My biggest issue was parking. Since there was exterior work being done, the construction vehicles took up several parking spots in an already small parking lot, making parking very difficult. Overall, this was a great hotel and I will look into staying here again when I visit the area next time.

This is my go to spot to stay in Boone Nc and I had probably stayed there at least 5 times in the last year when visiting my kid at App State, which is literally maybe 2 miles away. Graystone Lodge is very clean, has a free breakfast which is very good with local pastries besides a full breakfast buffet. And did I mention the indoor pool which is warm and in a nice area and big enough for kids and adults. They give you an opportunity to tip the staff that has helped you but please put all of their pictures on the site as travelers are not good with names but can reward the people that have helped you with a photo. I will be back. And a special shout-out to the manager there as I had a problem with the local car rental company (Enterprise Boone fair warning DO NOT USE Them) who was willing to refund my second nights stay that I booked months ago due to issues with the car rental company and they were fully booked. I GREATLY appreciate the customer service Graystone Lodge in Boone. Wonderful,

Hotel was conveniently located to all the attractions. The hotel inside and the grounds outside were very well maintained. I wish there was a hot tub but the pool was heated enough that even I could get in the water. All of the staff were super friendly. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. The cookies at the front desk were a hit with my daughter. There's no view of anything because of where the hotel is located so it was suggested I choose a room on the backside of the hotel so it would be more quiet. The breakfast had an amazing selection of food. I liked that the parking spots were large and not just meant for compact cars. The 24hr coffee bar was a plus. The only one negative I'll mention is that the beds were a little hard. I highly reccomend this hotel and I will definately stay here again.

The Hotel was great! I loved the flooring in the rooms and throughout because I hate carpet due to allergies! The water pressure in the shower was the best I have seen in a Hotel! The outdoor firepit and chairs were great too! The inside was nice with the beautiful fireplace and setting in the Lobby area! Didnt use the pool but it definitely looked nice!

I’ve been to Greystone several times but I do wish they would take a bit more time and clean the bathroom a bit better. We found lots of long black hair this time, a dead bug and the conditioner bottle was empty, but all in all fairly clean.

The receptionist lacked customer service skills. Never greeted customers when we arrived nor the day after. Also, We asked the same receptionist if there was a ADA room available or one with a bathtub and she stated there was none available at the time we checked in. However, we checked online and there was one ADA room with a bathtub available. Last, the first room offered (127) smelled like mold and bed sheets were dirty. We asked the receptionist to change our room and with hesitation she did. The second room (209) was clean l smelled clean and was comfortable.

This was a great location for a night in Boone. The hotel was one of the cleanest that we have ever stayed in, seriously! The beds were extremely comfortable and you get a lot of big, fluffy pillows which we always appreciate. There were a lot of options at breakfast; the only negative was that it was so crowded when we went down for breakfast (9:00am), there were no tables left and we had to sit in the lobby. Not a negative, just an fyi. We will definitely stay here next time we come to town!

A nice, quiet, simple place to stay in Boone. It's safe, clean and quiet. It's not a fancy place, but you don't need fancy. The included buffet breakfast is simple and barely adequate. For example, their oatmeal comes as a packet of powder that you must mix with hot water, not a steaming hot careen of oatmeal that one would expect. The showers are from fixed spigots, not flexible handheld shower heads. The floors of the showers become dangerously slippery during use. It would be a very good idea to apply some appliques or some type of non-slip tape in the shower. Be careful. But, overall, it's a good, quiet place to stay at a very reasonable price.

The room was too small and very poorly lighted. The shower was impossible. The showerhead could only be accessed if you were in the shower, which meant that in order to turn it on you would have freezing cold water splashed on. There was no way to turn on the shower before Getting into it. Very uncomfortable in addition upon checking in I gave the person registering us a credit card and told her explicitly that my friend and I wanted to split the bill. I was told that we could do that and check out. When I checked out today, I was told that I could not do that and the credit card I gave them was the one that was used and was already charged. I am very upset about this because had I known that I would not have used the credit card that I gave the agent upon Arriving at the hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Pros included really good front desk service, location is perfect on the edge of town, and the best hotel comp breakfast ever. What I didnt like was the lack of water pressure, rusty shower hardware and room doors that were very difficult to open and super loud to shut. If those things dont bother you then this place is lovely.

We stayed here 1 night. The area surrounding the hotel are just regular streets and retail establishments, nothing special. The inside of the hotel is clean and nicely decorated, same as our room. Noise from the parking lot and the hallway can definitely be heard from our room. The breakfast buffet has more quantity and variety of food items than expected at similar hotels - waffle machine, 10+ types of bagels and breads that you can toast, fruit, instant oatmeal, cereals, pastries, 3+ types of eggs, biscuit with sausage gravy, 2+ kinds of potatoes, 2 kinds of sausage, Mediterranean quiche. The quality of the breakfast food, however, is about the same as other similar hotels.

The property itself was fine. It's a typical run of the mill mid level hotel but since it is newer, it looks ok and provides a breakfast. However, biggest issue is the rooms facing the road, it is as if there is zero insulation. All you here is the traffic noise as if there was no wall. Really bad nights sleep. Ask for rooms on the back side of the hotel

We were together with another couple and we had a terrible time. They charged the rooms cost multiple times (4 times to one of us, 2 times to a second person and 3 times to another person). I have never experienced such an incompetence while at the same time we were not told what was going on in a straight manner. After almost four weeks the charges have been reversed but it ruined our experience at the hotel and impacted our time there because we were worried about the situation. I have never experienced such a situation!

This is my go to spot to stay in Boone Nc and I had probably stayed there at least 5 times in the last year when visiting my kid at App State, which is literally maybe 2 miles away. Graystone Lodge is very clean, has a free breakfast which is very good with local pastries besides a full breakfast buffet. And did I mention the indoor pool which is warm and in a nice area and big enough for kids and adults. They give you an opportunity to tip the staff that has helped you but please put all of their pictures on the site as travelers are not good with names but can reward the people that have helped you with a photo. I will be back. And a special shout-out to the manager there as I had a problem with the local car rental company (Enterprise Boone fair warning DO NOT USE Them) who was willing to refund my second nights stay that I booked months ago due to issues with the car rental company and they were fully booked. Our stay at this hotel was flawless. The hotel was fully packed due to a local university event. Despite the hotel being full of young people and parents and dogs, we didn't hear a single thing all night (and we were on the bottom floor between the lobby and elevator!! The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were newly renovated, the bathrooms were very comfortable and the hot buffet breakfast was outstanding! The staff was also wonderful and very personable. Not a single thing to complain about, this stay was perfect!

The receptionist lacked customer service skills. Never greeted customers when we arrived nor the day after. Also, We asked the same receptionist if there was a ADA room available or one with a bathtub and she stated there was none available at the time we checked in. However, we checked online and there was one ADA room with a bathtub available. Last, the first room offered (127) smelled like mold and bed sheets were dirty. We asked the receptionist to change our room and with hesitation she did. The second room (209) was clean l smelled clean and was comfortable.

We were sadly really disappointed with our stay at Graystone Lodge. Management need to plan better when they’re aware they’re running at full occupancy. Common area’s were dirty, with coffee and cool drink spilt in the hallways and not cleaned up. Breakfast ran out of the basics, two of the three mornings way before breakfast concluded. When approaching hotel staff on the first morning, my husband was told to get up earlier to ensure a breakfast. We didn’t attempt to go the third morning.

I was charged $100 EXTRA upon arrival ABOVE what I had agreed to on Hotels.com for 2 of the 4 night stay. Now Hotels.com says it is the lodge's fault and the lodge says it was Hotels,com who charged the additional money. The breakfast was good and the rooms were comfortable. JENN at breakfast was great. The renovations are superb! The little attention to detail is wonderful (good management), and the staff is excellent (good leadership and people who seem to like their job). Honestly this was an ok stay for an expensive price. Walking around anywhere meant you had to walk in the weeds on the side of a busy highway. The beds were not uncomfortable but certainly wasn't the most comfortable. The bathroom was small but the water pressure in the shower was good. I believe there are better hotels out there in this price range.

Pros included really good front desk service, location is perfect on the edge of town, and the best hotel comp breakfast ever. What I didnt like was the lack of water pressure, rusty shower hardware and room doors that were very difficult to open and super loud to shut. If those things dont bother you then this place is lovely.

Hotel is very clean and very close to the main street in Boone. Although is not completely walkable (there are no sidewalks that lead to the hotel and it’s in front of a main road) but location is great. Parking is free (which is great). Breakfast is excellent for the price (quiche, yogourt, nuts, waffles, juices, bacon, sausage, fruits, scrambled eggs, etc) and there is coffee, hot chocolate, and tea available 24/7. We have stayed twice and plan to come back.

I wish we were still there! We had such a great experience. Fix the bad coffee situation and I’d give a 5 out of 5. Breakfast was great, very clean, very nice staff, very cozy, pool was clean and warm, rooms themselves were relaxing and nice. The coffee was just never good even when the wonderful staff tried to fix it.

That was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. I would literally stay there just to get the breakfast options. The breakfast was horrible! No healthy food...Typical in American Hotels or in this case I would classify it as a motel.. The Gym is not a gym! 3 pieces of cardio, one mat, one bench and dumbbells. Not machines, foam rolls, bosu etc etc! Terrible as in many old fashioned residences as this is.

Excellent service, from the front desk staff to the morning breakfast personnel to the housekeeping, everyone was friendly, kind, and did a great job to make our stay one of the best experiences. The free breakfast was above and beyond the usual hotel fare. There were tons of options and it all tasted like real food. It was a great way to start the day.

We stayed here 1 night. The area surrounding the hotel are just regular streets and retail establishments, nothing special. The inside of the hotel is clean and nicely decorated, same as our room. Noise from the parking lot and the hallway can definitely be heard from our room. The breakfast buffet has more quantity and variety of food items than expected at similar hotels - waffle machine, 10+ types of bagels and breads that you can toast, fruit, instant oatmeal, cereals, pastries, 3+ types of eggs, biscuit with sausage gravy, 2+ kinds of potatoes, 2 kinds of sausage, Mediterranean quiche. The quality of the breakfast food, however, is about the same as other similar hotels.

Breakfast was until 10 am. Nothing available at 9.30. When requested for eggs they said it takes time. Even granola, nuts, raisins were running out . The bread was stale and hard. The toaster was out of order. The mattress gave me a back pain. Not worth the money !

If your traveling in a group they only allow 1 parking pass and then they will have u park down the street at non secured place very inconvenient . The best thing about the hotel is the staff but I bought my room thru Expedia and for some reason the gentleman who checked me in wanted announce that to the world thatI bought from the sitei instead of just looking for my name and checking me in The young lady who fixed breakfast every morning was superb
