My Granddaughter & I really enjoyed our stay. The ONLY things that took my rating from excellent to good is that the br4e4akfast was so/so but good and there were no towels available at the pool. Overall, we had a great stay; beds were comfy & staff very nice. We enjoyed swimming.

Stayed for a quick overnight stop. Overall felt safe. The hotel is visibly older and could use a total refresh. A few minor hiccups during check-in but ok overall. We didn't need it, but were told during check-in the pool was out of service. My biggest issue with this hotel was the overwheling smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel including the rooms. If you don't mind that i guess you would be ok. For that reason I would not stay here again.

The outside of the property in the back needed to be swept or blowed off. We couldn't use the pool inside because the chlorine was too strong. The room smelled musty like old cigarettes.

The room floor was not vacuumed. We had to request towels & clothes twice before we got any. The pool was over-chlorinated so kids only swam once bc eyes burned. The staff were very friendly! Shakira worked many positions & was a complete joy! Breakfast was not continental by far but a waffle did well. Only other “hot” option were grits or oatmeal. Best thing about this hotel is that it’s right across the street from a Lowe’s grocery store. Easy to get to for anything you may need.

Nice rooms, nice pool. A little pricey for what it is. The continental breakfast is poor. Most doors on the exterior are either broken, or won't unlock. There was 1 towel in the room. Staff at the desk gave us whatever we asked for towel wise. It was a good stay for what and when it was, on labor Day. .. .

Barbara was excellent working alone with her patience in dining but too many people for one person and then she was covering front desk too.the waffles ran out . Someone exploded egg in microwave.not enough seating or food. Tables were dirty . In all the stay was not clean and we will not be back. Also indoor pool had no water. Staff was very pleasant for what they had to work in.

I hardly write reviews & we also have stayed at this hotel about 4 times in the past 8 years. It was terrible. Main complaint was I called Friday before booking hotel to make sure the indoor pool was working. Person who answered told me yes, but failed to mention well it’s not heated anymore. They apparently have tried to get it fixed multiple times and it keeps breaking so the pool is freezing! My kids are toddlers so the main interest for them is a pool. If they had mentioned that the pool was not heated anymore I would have picked another hotel. We won’t stay here again. The breakfast options were limited and less than the past but I don’t knock them for that because everything is pricier now.

Was decent. Just need a spot for a quick weekend trip. ONLY negative was they didn’t tell anyone that the hot water would be off from 11am to 5pm Pool was also completely drained

I booked 2 rooms, one for me for two nights and the other for my son and his girlfriend for one night - their room smelled so bad of smoke that I gave them my room. I asked the front desk to change the sheets and towels in their room so I could use it the second night. I came back from being gone all day to a dirty room that wasn’t touched by housekeeping. The rooms, walls, carpet, showers are all outdated and need to be replaced. The breakfast selections were awful.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I had booked 3 nights here, but checked out after the first night because it was such a disappointing experience. The room was not clean, the TV was not working and the staff was very difficult to get a hold of to assist with any of the issues I had. After informing the hotel I would be checking out early, they have been avoiding Hotels.com’s requests to provide a refund for the rest of the stay. There are a lot of other options in Boone for around the same price. Do yourself a favor and stay pretty much anywhere but here.

When we arrived the bathroom was dirty. The toilet had poop and toothpaste everywhere, the room smelled like mold, terrible breakfast. Next day I requested for a deeper cleaning, they did nothing. I talked with the counter desk and they didn’t recognize all the deficiencies they had. I requested to talk with the manager and they gave a napkin with his number. I requested for extra towel and blanket, guess what, no blanket available and for towel they gave me pool towels. We had to leave to another hotel

While a worn property is not a problem (although the condition is not worth the price), the lack of snow removal and the presence of roaches in our 3rd floor bathroom is completely unacceptable We canceled the balance of our stay and are pending a refund (which will show the value of the insurance we bought). The desk manager (Mark) was very sympathetic and wanted to take immediate action. He advised that he pushed for the refund of our 2nd night stay (I hope it is returned soon). We will not stay here in the future

Killed 2 bugs within 5 min of getting in room, room stunk and had dryer sheets in vents, water damage on ceiling, tub drain broke, smudges on headboard from previous guests. Def not worth what it cost

The first room I was assigned had someone in it after I opened the door with the key so that was an unexpected shock. Because the staff didn’t know there was someone staying in a room that should have been empty I started to feel uneasy. After being assigned a second room, I felt the room was too dirty and smelled of smoke despite being listed as non smoking. The bed didn’t look clean and I didn’t think I would be able to sleep well there. I decided to leave and seek a more expensive room elsewhere that was cleaner and more comfortable.

Staff was friendly and helpful for what they had to work with. AC units are very loud, and don't turn off automatically when programmed temperature is met. 1st room unit wouldn't turn off at all, so they switched us rooms. Both rooms had tall standing lamps with broken switches, and second room had table lamp with lightbulb socket unsecured. Burnt out bathroom lightbulb in 1st room and no vent fan in bathrooms.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was in very good condition. My only issue was the deadbolt lock on the door didn't work. After looking at it, I realized the issue was the opening in the door frame was not big enough and that it never worked. No one ever realized it. I suspect this was not an isolated issue and that it likely existed on many other rooms. I let them know

This was an average hotel, everything was fine! No complaints it just didn't blow me out of the water with how amazing it was. I do wish that they had thicker curtains on the windows in the room, but that is a minor thing.

We stayed here three nights. It was on top of a hill and easy to get to. The room was nice, it had a fireplace and a very comfy king bed. The A/C unit was not working right at and was frustrating listening to is go on and off all the time without cooling. The bathroom was spacious but the hair dryer was damaged. There was no clock, but the fridge and microwave were nice. Breakfast was limited, as expected, and the area had plenty of room for guests. All of the staff we met were very nice. I think we expected a little more for the price we paid, but overall it was alright.

For the price we paid I was VERY disappointed in breakfast selection. Other less expensive hotels offer hot breakfast and a better variety. Second, the AC did not work at all the first night. Could not get it to regulate. It only worked if set on lowest temp with high fan. There was an OLD wash cloth left hanging over the shower from a previous stay. The floors leading to the breakfast area were sticky.

Convenient location. Room was very spacious and fantastic! Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in that I can remember. My wife loved the jacuzzi tub. The fireplace was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel was great. Check in was a little slow and the staff member went to check if our room was clean. Checked us in and room wasn’t cleaned when we went upstairs. Came back down got another room and the keys didn’t work. Back downstairs and finally got the keys and room. Other than the check in process hotel was great and convenient to where we needed to go.

My child attends App State and I travel quite often to see her. At least 10 times per year. I have stayed at this hotel once or twice before and was satisfied with it. This time around was not the case. The front desk staff was not only scarce, but rude when you finally found someone. Not friendly at all. Also, both morning for breakfast... awful. Not only was there no food, it was unkempt and unclean. Not one time did I see a staff member not only to replenish the food (there wasn't even jelly) but there was no cleaning of the food counter or the tables or even the garbage. I do believe I will be looking at other hotels on my next travels.

upon arrival check in person was not friendly, asked about breakfast, was told there was a sign over there. First impressions stand out, arrived at 230, check in is at 3 which is fine, there was like 5 cars in parking lot, was told room was not ready, ok so we waited, room was nice

Mark checked us in and he was wonderful!! He was very professional and friendly. He had his hands full as many of us stayed there for a dance competition. He was great!

The staff was almost snooty - it was odd. Barely looked up when I walked in - was on his phone. Even asked him if all was ok because he seemed so grumpy. Internet didn't work while I was there - during hurricane so rented the room SOLELY to be able to work - was assured it worked as this was after power and internet was back on in Boone. Not a good experience.

This one didn't meet expectations as bed uncomfortable with no light blanket offered. The breakfast did not include eggs but it was good. The desk charged my one card when I always split payment, I wasn't asked but I did mention the card. Good location. Overall okay or fair.

Continental breakfast was a joke. There was no attendant there to make sure things were as should be, waffle mix was very runny, could not even use it, coffee was out or cold, orange juice was watery, apples were very, very soft. Sunday was even worse, no oatmeal, only cold cereal.

The hotel was fine on first appearances . It could use some updates. Elevator needs some work, door all scarred up. Room ok, had to change light bulb, window leaked, TV did not work entire trip. No one could correct it. Breakfast bar needs some help.

Our room was clean and very comfortable. The grounds surrounding the building were being mulched and planted so were not yet up to par but being worked on. Our flat screen was difficult to use and inoperable much of the time due to problems with the provider. The breakfast food was skimpy, and decaf coffee was often cool or not fresh. However, the location was great for our needs, and the staff were very cordial and helpful.
