Parking wasn’t very convenient, there were spiders and gnats in our room, bathroom was small, BREKFAST server was not especially pleasant…. Don’t feel like the room and hotel was worth the almost 250.00 we paid for one night. The sleep inn we stayed in the night before was 150.00 cheaper and roomier and had a better breakfast. The location was great and the roof top bar was cool but that’s about it.

The parking was a lil’ confusing.. but manageable. The staff at first were taken back with us since we are deaf. Once they figured out how to communicate with us it was smooth sailing.

We enjoy staying at the Horton Hotel in Boone, NC. The rooftop bar is so fun! The beds are comfortable, showers are big, and have complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is also complimentary hand soap and lotion. Complimentary coffee and breakfast. Walkable to all if downtown Boone and App State campus. Overall it is excellent!

Great location in downtown Boone NC. Rooftop bar nice. Room was very nice. Two things not so great.1) No window at least in our room. 2) paying for parking in a gravel lot down behind hotel across a street. A good 100 yard walk up hill to get to hotel.over all I would still give a 3.5 out of 5 rating.

The Horton provided exceptional service from the time we made our reservation until we checked out. Very few hotels call to ask if you have any special requests or are celebrating anything before arrival. We enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby on our way to the lounge. Great service and drinks. The room was dark and quiet. Easy parking. Great location. We can't wait to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the rooftop bar.

Great location. Parking was too far away. It should have 2-3 30 min slots on the street for guests only. Not sure of the kitchen equipment, but pourable creamers and juices would be nice. A list of local restaurants that will deliver food to the hotel would be nice. To the room or to the lounge areas. The atmosphere and the staff are very enjoyable. The simple touches of robes, water pitcher, nice linens and blankets for the roof lounge are really thoughtful. I would return and recommend to others.

very clean and quiet. Breakfast was a surprise, we expected the normal toast, dry cereal and coffee. The pastries were from Stick Boys a local great bakery. excellent coffee and hot sandwhich choses.

I paid Expedia for a ground floor room, there is no ground floor rooms here there is a lobby and a bar. The room they put you in because you booked through Expedia is a basement that smells musty and has no windows.

The hotel has a cool vibe, and we booked because it was dog friendly but then we’re told no dogs in bar or rooftop lounge which was disappointing. Also the rooftop bar wasn’t open when we arrived. We weren’t given an explanation of why but that was one of the other reasons we booked. Room was spacious and seemed clean but had a vomit odor. Overall pricey but great location.

Such a cute boutique hotel. We stayed in room 22 in the newer portion. Pleasantly surprised by the warm bathroom (heated toilet and towel rack!), very nice for a snowy stay. Water pressure and temperature perfect, clean, friendly staff. We only stayed for one night but it was enjoyable. My only complaint...the pillows were like whoopee cushions, I typically bring my own pillow but figured one night wasn't worth the hassle. Spoiler alert, it is always worth the hassle.

Great location and lots of amenities for a small property. The insulation was not great so you can get a lot of noise from the bar downstairs. It closes at 10:00, so after that it was great. Overall, we were very pleased. Unfortunately it was raining, so could not enjoy the rooftop bar.

The room was a good size for us with our dog and didn’t feel cramped. Love the live wood slab for a seating ledge. The bathroom and shower were big and had some modern updates. The only thing I recommend for anyone else staying is to direct the AC/heat vent away from the bed so it’s not blowing on you all night. Would totally stay here again.

Nice stay, boutique hotel feel. Pros - downtown location for easy access, nicely decorated, rooftop bar nice relaxing spot. Cons - no in room coffee maker, no full length mirror, could use two chairs in rooms vs one. No window depending on room.

The hotel was in a fantastic location. All employees were incredibly helpful and friendly. My only complaint was that our room did not have a window. I did not feel comfortable in a room with no window. This should have been included in the description.

My reservation was moved to another date by the Hotel and I had no room even thought I had a confirmation for Expedia for the correct date. They promised to give a refund but Expedia has been unable to contact them to verify. They offered no help just they where sorry and I had no place to stay.

The Horton hotel is my favorite place to stay in Boone. We came up for a show and were able to walk everywhere. We showed up a little bit early and they allowed us to check in, everything was clean, nice toiletries, perfect location. We had a great time on the rooftop bar. The two fantastic bartenders even stayed up with us when it started to rain a little. Just a wonderful stay!

Very impressed with this adorable boutique hotel smack dab in the middle of town, walking distance to the college, restaurants, shops, etc. very unique decor with an interesting history- and absolutely the best breakfast bagel sandwiches I have ever had, not usually a fan but the Asiago cheese bagel from a local bakery was AMAZING! Also love the rooftop bar area and the views from there

We stayed here because it is close to the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country. The room was comfortable. The room had giant slabs of wood in the bedroom and the bathroom. Nicely decorated room. Coffee down the hall. Breakfast was very good and filling.

Not as advertised. Rooms are way smaller than pics suggest. Basically no windows, no heat in the bathroom. There is a mysterious loud low-end hum that’s quite annoying in room 16. There is no restaurant and very limited snacks- popcorn and chocolate. Never stayed at a boutique hotel w no restaurant…
